In the Nile Valley in Africa people have been cultivating their raw material for thousands of years and spinning thread by hand or by using old machinery.
Back in those lands, the humid weather and rich soil make cotton fiber grow longer. It goes from 3.50 cm to 6 cm long, double the size compared to other types of cotton.
To establish the quality of the linen, it is necessary to consider the thread count per square centimeter. In the case of Egyptian cotton, it starts at 200, resulting in a very resistant and soft linen.
Did you know that even though all whites seem to be of the same color, they are not? It is impossible to obtain every year the same linen color. There are many factors that affect the color such as the thread production for a particular year.
